Treat Baby Eczema

There are many avenues a parent can take to find the right baby eczema treatment. Each treatment has its pro’s and cons but each can help combat the itching, inflammation, and discharges associated with this very uncomfortable and disheartening condition. These baby eczema treatments have been designed to reduce inflammation, moisturize your baby’s skin, and help suppress severe baby eczema flare ups. And just as a reminder, these treatments can not permanently cure baby eczema.

General baby eczema treatment comes in many forms: moisturizers, itch-relief medication, corticosteroids, immunomodulators, antibiotics, light therapy, diet monitoring, and gene therapy. Each of these treatments specializes in targeting particular symptom or aspect of the disease. None the less, I don’t recommend using all these treatment for your baby’s skin. But the following is my list of baby eczema treatments that worked for my child and ones I highly recommend.

My Recommend Best Baby Eczema Treatment: Moisturizers

I am a huge advocate of moisturizing your baby’s skin with a moisturizer that contains natural Vitamin E. Moisturizers come in many different forms such as Emollients, Creams, Ointments, Soaps, and Lotions. These types of moisturizers promote and help the skin retain its natural moisture.  Moisturizers are said to be the single most important and effective health-care Eczema treatment in existence.

My #2 Recommended Baby Eczema Treatment: Diet Monitoring

I found that monitoring my baby’s diet as a form of eczema treatment worked wonders. I found this to be highly effective because this treatment helped me remove allergen foods from my child’s diet that triggered harsh eczema flare ups. Diet Monitoring requires a lot of your attention and calls for you to be very discipline. Without discipline, this treatment can have no effect.

Combining my recommended baby eczema treatment #1 and #2 brought major relief to my son. I personally didn’t have go further than these treatments to help me solve this baby eczema treatment search.

Now the next list of baby eczema treatments are treatments I’ve tried but experienced limited success. I’m exposing this list just in case you have already tried my top 2 recommendations and didn’t experience the excellent results my son had. This list is in no particular order and I strongly suggest you talk to your doctor or pediatrician and do more research on these treatments before you consider using any of them.

Other Eczema Treatments:

Antihistimines – Helps reduces itching during an Eczema flare-up.

Antibiotics  -  This baby eczema treatment will help fight off infections, should one of your baby’s open wounds get infected.

Capsaicin – Helps counteracts the itching by mitigating the body’s itch signals.

Light therapy (Not Recommended and Mainly for Adult Eczema) – This treatment exposes ultraviolet light on PUVA, UVB, and/or Narrow Band UVB to combat the symptoms of Eczema.

Photo-ChemoTherapy (Not Recommended and Mainly for Adult Eczema) -  this treatment combines efforts of light therapy and a drug called Psoralen to combat the symptoms of Eczema.

Gene Therapy (Not Recommended and Mainly for Adult Eczema) – This treatment is still fairly new and extremely expensive.

Whatever baby eczema treatment you choose, please consider all the pros and cons and talk to a qualified health professional for any questions you may have.
